At GoDiveMex, our Divemaster course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to become a confident dive leader. You'll learn to guide certified divers in open water environments, mastering the responsibilities of planning and supervising dives. This program is the first step toward a professional diving career, providing you with hands-on experience and the leadership skills needed to ensure safe, enjoyable dives for others.
KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT
In the Divemaster course at GoDiveMex, Knowledge Development covers key areas like SDI standards, ethics, and risk management, as well as dive planning and leadership. You'll explore dive physics, physiology, equipment use, and emergency procedures, including first aid, oxygen administration, and CPR. This comprehensive training prepares you to lead dives safely and effectively, both in confined and open water environments confidently.​​​​​
CONFINED WATER DIVES
Confined Water Requirements focus on essential watermanship and scuba skills. You'll demonstrate proficiency in swimming, including an 800-meter swim with a mask, snorkel, and fins, as well as various rescue scenarios. You'll practice essential confined water skills such as planning, group control, and problem-solving, along with diving equipment assembly and inspection. These requirements ensure you are well-prepared to lead divers safely and effectively in both confined and open water environments.
OPEN WATER DIVES
During this program you will complete a series of open water dives where you will practice dive planning, group management, and problem-solving. These dives will take place in a variety of environments, allowing you to apply leadership skills and demonstrate mastery of essential dive techniques under real-world conditions, all under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Duration: It requires a minimum of 40 hours, with at least 30 hours under direct instructor supervision. However, the total duration can vary based on the student's prior experience. On average, a minimum of 20 days is necessary to complete the course, allowing for a thorough development of skills and knowledge.
